I love StudioPress Themes & the Genesis Framework, that is no secret. Their framework is SOLID and they stand behind their products 100%. I’ve worked with Genesis & StudioPress themes for the last 5 years and they’ll always be my go-to resource/starting point for WordPress design. I’ve purchased several other types of themes and frameworks over the years and I always mosey back to Genesis– I love the flexibility and my clients love the end products.

If you like to tinker with your Genesis/StudioPress theme but you’re not up for modifications through templates, .php files or .css files you’re like a lot of other people out there. Not everyone has the time to learn how to do that properly and that isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

For those of you who love to DIY your way around your website here are 5 Awesome Genesis WordPress Plugins you should at least consider. :) I assure you that if you run Genesis/StudioPress products these will make your DIY adventures run a lot smoother and with a lot less frustration.

  1. The widgetized 404 is a headache saver for sure, makes it so easy to give purpose to your error page (though, hopefully no one ever sees it)
